FOSSEE Summer Fellowship 2019 : Spoken Tutorial Koha work
1. Screening level Task description:
STEP 1:
Watch KOHA tutorials on spoken tutorial website.
Learn how to create a KOHA library.
STEP 2:
You have to do the metadata tagging/Cataloging/Bibliographic entries of 1,000 items in a public library.
Visit the District Collector's office/Tehsil office in your locality, with our Fellowship task letter. A formal letter to all the District Collectors in our country have been posted. Please find the copy of this letter at this link.

Request for a list of Public Libraries in the district.
Go to your nearest Public Library.
Explain the task to the Librarian and staff.
With their permission, install KOHA and do the metadata tagging/cataloging/MARC records/Bibliographic entries of 1,000 items in that public library.
It is mandatory to fill all the fields in the template without which the submission will be considered incomplete.

The same metadata of those items will also have to be submitted to us for validation.
2. Guidelines to be followed for submission:
A KOHA cloud will be set up at our end. We will create a login for you and send you the credentials. You will have to upload all 1,000 entries into our KOHA cloud.

Koha cloud
will be available till 31 March 2019. Start working on the submission tasks and get ready with the submissions.
