A meeting was arranged by the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal, at Kolkata on 10th May 2013. Vice Chancellors, Principals, HODs and Faculty members from 8 top Universities were present in the meeting. Prof. Kannan Moudgalya delivered a talk on the benefits of FOSS and various projects that are going on at IIT Bombay on FOSS. Prof. Moudgalya focused on the Spoken Tutorial Project and the benefits that the Universities will receive from this project. Ms. Payel Mukherjee, Project Manager for the state of West Bengal was also present during the meeting. She discussed the next steps that the Universities should take to proceed for taking such benefit of the Free of Cost software training facility.
