A sensitization event on Spoken Tutorials was held for 70 people, comprising of teachers, principals and directors of Polytechnics, ITIs and Vocational Training Centres. This event was arranged by the D.T.E.&T., Govt. of West Bengal.
Ms. Payel Mukherjee delivered a talk on the benefits of FOSS and how to learn useful software through Spoken Tutorial project. The presentation was an interactive session for about an hour. The Additional Secy. of D.T.E.&T. and the President of the Polytechnic Colleges of West Bengal were present among other eminent academia.
In this event, the Additional Secy. of D.T.E.&T., Govt. of West Bengal, announced that very soon a Cell will be created in their office to carry on the operations of Spoken Tutorial project in West Bengal and the North East.
