REGISTRATION

Screening Task:

Write a proposal for building an Employer Recommendation System, which collects data from potential employers and students and gives suggestions/recommendations by matching employer’s requirements, students’ ST test performance, academic scores, etc.

Also, write sufficient explanation, prepare the wire frames, mock-ups. etc.

Part A

  1. Registration page for potential employers -  the form should collect all relevant fields.

  2. Also, one-page write up about their organisation.

  3. Are they offering Full-time/Part-time/Internship - period? 

  4. Frequency of updates required by the employer - daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/bi-annually/annually

  5. Collect data on what kind of students they are looking for - discipline (Computer Science Engg/Electrical Engg/Mechanical Engg/MCA/MSc.IT/MBA, etc., academic performance, ST test performance, any other filter)

 

Part B

  1. Academic profile update page for students - on their dashboard with a progress bar for completion of profile.  Students can update their academic information here - so the form should collect all relevant fields, upload project work done in any of the academic years, any awards/recognition received, any extra course certificate like Udemy, W3School, Coursera, sports or extracurricular activities, 

  2. Do they desire Full-time/Part-time/Internship offers?

  3. Frequency of updates required by the student - daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/bi-annually/annually

  4. Collect data on what kind of companies are advertising jobs on ST website - Core Engg. company, software/hardware company, website development company, start-ups, any other filter)

 

Submission:

Submit your proposal for the Employer Recommendation System on Moodle.

Also, submit detailed explanation, sufficient wireframes, mock-ups. etc.

 

Evaluation Criteria:

Following criteria will be considered while evaluating the tasks:

  • The simplicity of the proposal

  • Comments for each functionality

  • Documentation should be readable and understandable

  • No plagiarism (if your submission matches another student's submission, both will be rejected)

Once your submission is shortlisted, we will administer a Python test which you will need to clear.  Only then will you be selected for the fellowship with us.

6-weeks Fellowship task for Part A:

 

  1. Query from the database all students who have cleared ST tests in the selected FLOSSes with 80% and fulfill the criteria selected by the employer

  2. Inform the concerned college Faculty Organiser to arrange 2nd level Yaksh test for the queried list of students

  3. Notify the concerned Student Employment personnel in ST Training team and arrange a callback/email reply to the employer, within 1 week.

  4. Log the call from the interface to the mobile (like MyGate app)

6-weeks Fellowship task for Part B:

 

  1. Display this Profile update page to the students who are signed up for the program

  2. Notify the concerned Student Employment personnel in ST Training team and arrange a callback/email reply to the student, within 1 week.

  3. Log the call from the interface to the mobile (like MyGate app)
