I have been associated with Spoken Tutorial Project since January 2012. I have conducted number of workshops for Java, Linux, C/C++. PHP/MySQL and LaTeX for my students.

I believe, Spoken tutorials provide the necessary connection between theoretical learning that happens in a classroom and practical applications of that learning. They enhance the effectiveness of laboratory sessions and inculcate self-learning habits in students.

I have found these workshops very useful during early years of engineering for basic programming skills. I have observed that these multi-media tutorials are especially helpful for visual or tactile learners who tend to underperform in traditional systems.

Spoken tutorials can act as a multiplier for capacity building efforts of students and they should be harnessed by educators for augmenting expansion as well as quality of education.

Your spoken tutorials are very effective to handle the Paper CCP6-Computer Programing and Geoinformatics. For Python and C, C++ we are planning to use your spoken tutorials and append the pactch up that we need for our subject. Initially to know the software and to have a hands on, your tutorial is the best.

The faculties are also comfortable in handling the class as well the students. I appreciate the efforts that you and your team has put in and we are waiting for the first batch to finish one course. Based on this experience, we are planning to spread this to our friends and colleagues in other universities.

It was very interesting for me to conduct this program with students. After conducting this workshop students are also getting keen interest for such type of workshop. Our principal also present in todays program and he advice us to go ahead.

Some of the teachers ask about some advance program like LATEX and R which will helpful for them. Our senior teachers who were present they suggested that there should be more interaction with you and our students then only students will enjoy the workshop.

Student's Feedback: They found the workshop very beneficial and easy to understand and material ,instructions are systematically provided. They want more workshop to be conducted so that they will learn many more about FOSS(Free and open source software).

Organiser Feedback: The way tutorial was designed I think it's excellently able to meet the goal of spoken tutorial project.Student will get benefited from it.specially in web designing and moodle kind of portal designing it has lots of use.

It's a great work done by Spoken tutorial project developer(IIT Bombay) ,even without their co-operation and support it won't be possible in place like Mizoram.
