• User Guide

  I notice that the user guide for older versions and the latest version is more or less similar and doesn't incorporate or explain the changes  brought about during the up-gradation. Please do let me know if there are any tutorials or videos available to help me in getting familiarized with the latest version.

• Feed Tray Location

  In the tutorial we are giving feed stage location to stage 9 in stream stage associations and giving column feed port to #5(under feeds section) initially in the tutorial. Why are we giving different locations? what is the  difference between these two inputs?

• Query- Reboiler Pressure Value

  Dear Reader,I wish to know how the Reboiler Value is taken as 1.1 atm. In the tutorial on Shortcut Distillation, the value of Condenser as well as Reboiler Pressures was 1 atm respectively. I am attaching the screenshot from my simulation of Shortcut Distillation which represent the same. The attached screenshot is from the simulation that has exactly the same values from simulation done by the tutor in the tutorial.Also, while updating most of the values in the Rigorous Distillation simulation, there are a lot of red error messages which can be seen in the tutorial as well (for eg while updating the Reboiler pressure itself, which readsErrorDistillation Column: Phase equilibria calculation error. • Changing the reboiler pressure and reflux ratio

  Dear sir,In the given problem, I am not able to run the simulation at 1 atm reboiler pressure. It is showing an error. Also, I am not able to change the pressure to a smaller value. If I have to change the pressure, I have to enter a higher value than the previous value to run the simulation. Can you please explain me the reason behind this. Also, I am not able to keep the reflux ratio in decimal.

• Assigning operating pressure for distillation column

  Good day Sir/MamI am a chemical engineering student from South Africa. I watched the shortcut and rigorous distillation tutorial which were extremely helpful for my project. However I wanted to ask how do you assign operating pressure for distillation column ?. I have to design a pressure swing distillation system, where the first column operates at a low pressure and the second column operates at a higher pressure to separate azeotropic mixture. How can I change the operating pressures of both columns?Your assistance would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

• Specifying product streans

  Sir,How can we specify the required composition of distillate and bottom stream in rigorous distillation column without doing a simulation for shortcut distillation column first or is it compulsory to first perform a shortcut distillation simulation to specify it.Thank you for great videos.
