If I want to make a figure to include in my Latex document which terminal type should I choose

Unable to open generated SVG file
I have set the terminal to svg along with the parameter mentioned in the tutorial. However, after the plot command, the output svg file that has been generated could not be opened. Please advise.

Generated PS file has the plot upside down
I have successfully created a .ps file and have plotted the sin(x) graph. However, when I open the .ps file using the Document Viewer, it shows the plot upside down. Kindly advise.
